Robert is a trial lawyer and former federal prosecutor with experience in a broad array of complex litigation fields. He began his career in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins LLP, and subsequently spent five years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney (serving first in the Civil Division and then the Criminal Division), where he tried numerous jury trials to verdict.
Robert’s areas of expertise include intellectual property and trade secret litigation, unfair competition, securities and class action claims, white collar criminal defense, and investigations and claims brought under the False Claims Act and Dodd Frank Act.
After graduating in the top 10% of his University of Southern California law school class, Robert further distinguished himself by clerking for two esteemed federal jurists: Judge Harry L. Hupp (U.S. Central District of California) and Judge Ferdinand F. Fernandez (U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit).
Robert is also an Adjunct Professor at USC Gould School of Law, where he teaches a course on Legal Writing and Advocacy. He also holds an adjunct professorship at Glendale University College of Law, teaching courses on Torts and Civil Procedure. In his spare time, Robert enjoys racing cars. He is conversant in Mandarin.
